WILL GRAYSON

Strength training has been a major part of my life for close to five years, but what interests me most isn't simply lifting more weight — it's understanding what makes people stronger, more capable and better at what they do.

That pursuit is what ultimately became Grayson Standard.

WHY GRAYSON STANDARD?

I started Grayson Standard because I wanted to offer the kind of coaching I believe training deserves — individual, considered and built around more than simply handing someone a program.

I've spent close to five years training for strength and powerlifting, constantly learning, testing and refining how I approach my own training. Along the way, I've helped friends with their training and developed a growing interest in not just getting stronger, but understanding why things work.

Grayson Standard is the next step in that pursuit: taking what I've learned, continuing to develop as a coach, and helping others build something of their own.

THE COACH I WANT TO BE.

I don't want to be the kind of coach who simply tells you what to do and expects you to follow it.

I want you to understand your training. To know why we're making changes, what we're trying to achieve and how the decisions we make are moving you forward.

My role is to program, analyse, adjust and hold you accountable — but coaching is a responsibility on both sides. If I expect you to hold yourself to a higher standard, I believe I should be held to one too. That means continuing to learn, questioning what I know and being willing to change my approach when there's a better way forward.

Along the way, I want to give you the knowledge and understanding to take greater ownership of the process — so you're not just following a program, you're learning how to become better at training.

Because better coaching shouldn't create dependence. It should build capability.
